Throughout the course of production, more than 1,000 "temporary substitutions" were documented. These multi-page documents range from everything to authorizing the use of previously superseded parts on later production cars to things as simple as allowing a different colored fastener to be used in a certain location on the car due to a shortage of the correct part. With so many documents, it is a long an arduous process to simply get them converted to a suitable format for online viewing. Periodically our volunteers will be adding more to the list below.
Ideally, we would like to find a volunteer programmer to help us devise a method of cataloging these for easier searching based on part number, date, or subject. If you think this might be something you could help with, please contact us! Help us make more of this information available to DeLorean owners and enthusiasts around the world!
